hello
Sarah here.. a warm welcome to my page.. follows is a little bit about me and my journey thus far
I am a proud native to New Zealand and Samoa. From a young age I was drawn to the arts and started out in acting. I had a short stint on New Zealand’s beloved and longest running soap opera “Shortland Street” soon after I acted on another TV show that aired through Europe, a worldwide Toyota commercial and other various modelling jobs. During that time I also danced in a Pacific Island dance company in Auckland performing at festivals and events. My family moved to the beautiful Samoa, it was there I connected deeply to my Samoan heritage and culture. Attending the same all girls Catholic high school as my grandmother, St Mary’s College. Samoa is where I discovered my love of singing / performing and at age 16 I was booked and busy singing at various restaurants and resorts around Samoa including a few trips to American Samoa.
From the islands to sin city, at 18 I came to be living and performing in Las Vegas. I was very fortunate to be the first ever resident singer contracted at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant on the Las Vegas strip. A whirlwind of excitement - I was living out my young dreams. This opportunity opened many doors, I was booked 5 to 6 nights a week performing at beautiful hotels / casinos / lounges / restaurants and so between Las Vegas and California. Contracted to perform at the former mayor of Las Vegas, Oscar Goodman’s steakhouse along with performing as a resident singer for Red Rock Casino & Resort and Green Valley Ranch Casino & Resort. I performed corporate events for companies Disney, Saks Fifth Avenue, Wynn Casino & Resort, Rabo Bank, prominent law firms and celebrity chefs having performed in front of Carlos Santana, Vince Neil of Motley Crue, J.D. Souther, Cheap Trick, Journey and the late Sir Howard Morrison of New Zealand.
After my time in Vegas I continued to perform between New Zealand and Australia. I performed at the opening of luxury gaming lounge for both SKY City Casino & Hotel Auckland, New Zealand and Adelaide, Australia. I was fortunate to be the resident singer for the executive lounge at the Hilton Melbourne, Australia for 2 years. During that time I performed corporate and private events between Sydney, Auckland and Melbourne. I recorded a few cover songs which was produced by New Zealand’s renowned performer, Peter Urlich whom I was also fortunate to work with. My work has taken me to beautiful locations such as Kangaroo Island, Tasmania, Hervey Bay, Noosa with performances at Melbourne Town Hall, Auckland Museum, Art Galleries, Wineries and so. I then moved to the Mid West performing as the resident singer for Jacks Casino / The Hilton Netherland Plaza in Cincinnati, Ohio and in 2020 I proudly became a U.S. Citizen.
Now into my 30’s I have shifted gears choosing to live a slower paced lifestyle. I am inspired and moved by many but to name a few.. all that is sacred and delicate, bygone eras, ancient wisdom, traditions, the beauty of humanity, our mother earth, women, eastern philosophy, folklore, all that is magical and mystical, all that is wild and free, the night sky, whispers of the moon, poetry, and of course music. I am a bit of a flower child and young at heart.. believing and hoping for a better world filled with love, unity, healing and peace. A hopeless romantic, book worm, forever curious, a tad cringe, loves a wine, jasmine green tea, astrology and being a cat mum.
my spirit is free.. I am guided and ruled by love.
I feel most at home performing to an intimate room candle lit and relaxed. I am beyond grateful to be able to pursue my passions, for every opportunity I’ve been gifted, the places I’ve performed / travelled to and the people I’ve met along my journey.. those who have inspired and supported me.
Through my years as a singer / performer I always longed for my own art. I have been jotting down my most intimate thoughts / poetry for a while now.. encouraged by friends and family, I hope to share soon.
You’ll find me in my writing.. still singing at a local wine bar.. tipsy on life
thanks for stopping by!
warmly,
